Chinese Cyclohexanone Market Inched Down This Week (Apr 6-12, 2018)
Market Review: The Chinese cyclohexanone market prices moved down this week. Benzene prices hovered at lows and Sinopec’s posted prices for benzene were stable at RMB 6,050/mt. The support to the production cost was not sufficient. The downstream demand for cyclohexanone got weak and the overall trading was flat. Up to April 12, 2018, prices for cyclohexanone in Shandong were in the range of RMB 11,400-11,600/mt, down RMB 200/mt week on week. Prices in East China were in the range of RMB 11,700-11,900/mt, down RMB 235/mt.
Forecast: The benzene market prices will continue to move marginally. The downstream demand for cyclohexanone will be hard to improve. Players are bearish about the market. It is predicted that the Chinese cyclohexanone market will continue to fluctuate down.
